Compact With Texans
The UT TeleCampus is a central service and support unit for distance education initiatives within the University of Texas System. The UT TeleCampus features a website similar in design to a traditional campus with admissions links, digital libraries, student support services and hundreds of learning resource links. It also houses online "classrooms." The UT TeleCampus does not grant degrees, but supports the universities within the U. T. System that engage in online and distance education. Degree programs facilitated by the UT TeleCampus are for accredited degrees from the participating University of Texas campuses. The online courses comprising these degrees are taught by the same experienced UT faculty that teach on-campus courses. Additionally, UT TeleCampus serves as a portal for all distance education courses System-wide by providing a searchable database and ongoing library of courses. The UT TeleCampus strives to provide optimum customer service along with superior learning resources for the distance learner and teacher. Information about programs and services can be found in detail within the UT TeleCampus website.
Should any visitor, whether student or not, have additional questions or concerns, the toll free number (1-888-TEXAS-16) and email (telecampus@utsystem.edu) are prominently displayed throughout the site. The designated customer service representative is the Student Services Coordinator. Any inquiries or concerns will receive a response within a 48 period, often within the same 24-hour period except during weekends. Weekend queries will be answered the next available business day (CST). An enhanced customer call center is in development to further assist with customer inquiries.
