Welcome to the 2009 UT TeleCampus Annual Report. This has been a year of many new opportunities and challenges for us. We’re pleased to say we continue to see increased enrollments, a growing catalog of courses, and expanded program offerings, as noted in the efficiency chart, and throughout the report. We are also excited about the development of a program called BAC – Bachelor’s Accelerated Completion program. The BAC provides a new opportunity for the UT System to reach students who started college but never finished a degree.
A key challenge for us as we move forward is our transition to a new funding model, which has resulted in a short-term budget reduction as we build out new revenue sources. While we are pleased with our success growing online education at UT System, we believe we can't continue this growth trend without expanding our revenue and business model. Through a move to a shared services model we have additional leadership and guidance to navigate that difficult transition. The Executive Committee that governs the UT TeleCampus is comprised of representatives from each institution. As always, we wish to acknowledge the commitment of our campus partners, without whom we would not exist, as well as our very talented staff here at the TeleCampus. Thank you for a great year.
